01What cookies are

Cookies are pieces of information (small text files) that websites transmit to the device used by the user (PC, smartphone, tablet). This information makes it possible to browse, to perform IT authentication, to collect information on the number of visitors and how sites are used and — on other sites — to monitor and profile users.

First-party cookies are those transmitted directly by the website visited; third-party cookies are those transmitted by other sites or web servers. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed; persistent cookies remain saved on the user's device.

02Cookies used by this Site

The Site uses only strictly necessary, first-party cookies, which do not require consent under art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Authority's Guidelines of 10 June 2021:

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you chose (Italian or English). Duration: 1 year. Contains no personal data.
• Any technical security cookies set by the hosting infrastructure to protect the Site from abuse and automated attacks. Duration: session or short-lived.

The Site does not use advanced functionality cookies, profiling cookies, advertising cookies or social-network cookies.

03Cookieless statistics

To understand how the Site is used we may enable a traffic-analytics service that works without cookies and without any persistent identifier: data is collected in aggregated and anonymous form only (page views, referrer, device type) and no information can be linked to the natural person-user. This processing requires no consent and involves no profiling.

04Third-party cookies

The Site installs no third-party cookies. Pages do not embed videos, maps or social buttons that could transmit cookies from other domains.

Should third-party tools that set non-technical cookies be introduced in the future, a banner with the short notice and the possibility to give or refuse granular consent will be shown before they are activated, and this page will be updated.

05Managing cookies

You can at any time check which cookies are installed on your device, see how long they last and delete them through your browser settings. You can also configure the browser to block cookies: for this Site the only effect is that your language preference will not be remembered between visits.

06Purposes and nature of data provision

The processing of data collected through technical cookies and the Site's logs is aimed at the following purposes:

• Operation. Remembering the chosen language and delivering the pages correctly.
• Security. Protecting the security of the Site and of the user (anti-spam filters, firewall, abuse detection) and preventing or detecting fraud. Data is recorded automatically and may include the IP address, used exclusively to block attempts to damage the Site; it is never used to identify or profile the user and is deleted periodically.
• Statistics. Verifying the correct functioning of the Site in aggregated and anonymous form.

The legal basis is the Controller's legitimate interest in providing a working and secure site (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical data is acquired automatically while browsing; data from the contact form is governed by the Privacy Policy.
